Melanie Berry is the Board Secretary for ARHC Alliance for Resilience in Healthcare.
Melanie is a quality consultant who has recently completed her contract with Johnson & Johnson, specializing in external manufacturing account management during the lifecycle of clinical and commercial innovative medicine.
Melanie is a quality assurance professional with 18 years of experience in the federally regulated drug, tissue and biologics industry, performing multiple and diverse roles as support and lead, collaborating with contract manufacturers and internal cross-departments to execute projects to completion, with attention to continuous improvement, risk mitigation, education and compliance.
Melanie has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, with a major in Sociology and German and a minor in Biology. Her background experience consists of top sales and customer service. She holds the following certifications: Certified Tissue Banking Specialist CTBS through the American Association of Tissue Banks AATB, Certified Quality Improvement Associate CQIA, and she is also a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence CMQ/OE, both certifications are through the American Society of Quality ASQ.
Melanie has been an active member of nonprofit organizations since 2007. Since the beginning of her ASQ membership in 2016, she has continually fulfilled various ASQ Austin Chair positions to this present day, as she is currently serving the ASQ Austin Section as their 2024-2025 Chair and acting as Program Chair, Education Chair and Arrangements Chair. She is an active member of the Membership Committee as well as the Quality Council for the AATB American Association of Tissue Banks.
